Puerto Ricans In the News

Is he running for the Senate?

Maurice Ferre, six time Mayor of Miami and nephew of ex-Governor of Puerto Rico Luis A. Ferre, discussed the probability of running for the US Senate for Florida during a ceremony celebrated at La Prensa last Wednesday.

During his speech, Mr. Ferre, re-affirmed he is only at the exploratory stage, but gave the listeners the impression that he is determined to start working on his campaign. Some of the invitees gave words of support to the Puerto Rican politician.
